Dearing Dazzle
Welcome
to Dearing Dazzle!
I know I've been saying that this is my last year (well, maybe not me but local gossip, like Tamra! LOL!!!) but
I really think this is my last year! I've been decorating for
Christmas since 1975 and this will be my 12th Computerized Christmas (4 in Grand Harbor and this year will make 8 here in The Retreat).
As most of you know, my wife, Tamra, retired last summer and I retire
next September. I bought an RV and when I retire we are heading long
to see this beautiful country of ours (and our friends across the US)!
It's funny, but while I've been working it has been so hard to find
enough time to get the display as big and crazy as I want it and I
could spend all my overtime money on Christmas decorations. Now, when I
retire, I'll have plenty of time on my hands but I'll be on a fixed
income so I can't blow a bunch of cash on decorations. Dang, I
should've been born rich!!! But, that's life! Let's enjoy this last
year (of course, I'm oncall for the whole week of Christmas, BOO!!!!).
I'm still going to try and be outside as much as possible and you know
I'll talk to anyone. Tamra and I still have concerns about the kids in
the street with all the cars so please, drive carefully and watch your
children at all times! It is a public street, I can't shut it down
(believe me, the police have been here a few times) so we just have to
keep each other safe! So, let's have a Merry 'Ol Christmas, listen to
a few classic Christmas songs and watch some crazy Christmas lights!
Thank you to everyone
that has come out to the display, thank you to everyone that donated
food to the food bank, thank you neighbors for putting up with me and I
wish the best to all of you!
Note: There will
not be a food drive this year. Thank you!
We hope you all have a
very Merry Christmas and a Happy
New Year!
