Welcome to our home in Montgomery, Texas!!!

Our 2009 Dearing Dazzle Christmas light display consists of approximately 100,000 lights (give or take a light or two), pulling 360 Amps (all on), controlled by 880 Light-O-Rama Channels, connected by over 4 1/2 miles of electric extension cords and controlled by a dedicated PC.  The lights are synchronized to eighteen  songs and four voiceovers (by The Demented Elf) which run about fifty two minutes and are broadcast to passing vehicles over a low-power FM transmitter (95.9 FM).  I caught the bug after seeing Carson William's famous Wizards In Winter Christmas light display right before Christmas 2005.  Then after some research I saw the Trykoski's, Marty Slack's, The Lindsay Brothers and several other displays.  If you haven't seen these displays, well, you need to.  They are truely a work of art!  The best way to view these displays is on the internet.  Go to Light-O-Rama and click on "Videos".  Their displays are amazing!  So after seeing these displays, doing a lot of research and getting lots of help from the good people at Light-O-Rama (Dan) and also good friends on the web sites Lone Star Holidays, Planet Christmas and several other sites I started putting the Dearing Dazzle show together.  Christmas 2006 was my first year and it was AWESOME!!!  Of course, every year got better!  In 2007, Super Elf Chuck (my next door neighbor) programmed 320 channels of his own!!!  In 2008, I had 469 channels and Super Elf Chuck had 320 for a total of 784 channels!  That's CRAZY!!!!!!!  And of course, we are both adding 48 channels each for 2009 for a total of 880 channels!  I can't wait for December 12th!!!!!!!

AND, I would again like to thank my wonderful wife, Mrs. Elf Tamra who helps me with all these crazy ideas and projects and our hope is that all can come by and enjoy the display.  Ya'll be sure to yell "Hi" or "Merry Christmas" if you see us outside directing traffic, refilling bubble juice or just hanging out enjoying the lights!  We'll save a candy cane for you!!!

Master Elf Clyde

We wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

The display does not operate during or just after rain, ice, or wet conditions due to traffic and safety concerns for our visitors, neighbors, and friends.

Not to mention the electronics don't like water!!!

Dearing Dazzle will be collecting canned goods for The Food Pantry at Montgomery United Methodist Church again this year!  We collected over 4,000 lbs of food last year!!!  Again, your donation will go a long way in helping those in need.  A collection barrel will be located at the end of the driveway during display operation times from December 12 until December 27.  Local students working on community service hours for school credits will be available to assist in any way for the Food Bank on Friday's and Saturday's.  Be sure to ask them for a candy cane!!!

  .
I am a proud member of these organizations!!!

Thank you Kevin, er, I mean Demented Elf, for working so hard and putting up with all of our revisions!  We love our voiceovers!!!
